FAQs
General
What is GameDay Pro?
GameDay Pro is a mobile-first platform that simplifies how golf games, leagues, and recurring events are organized and run. It starts by solving day-of-game problems—RSVPs, communication, and coordination—and evolves into a full game management system with game setup, team and group setup, scoring, results, standings, and more.
Who is GameDay Pro for?
GameDay Pro is designed for member-run games at private clubs, leagues and recurring games at public courses, golf trips and buddy groups, and associations, outings, and multi-week competitions. It’s built for organizers and players -- not pro-shop staff.
Is GameDay Pro right for us?
If your group runs recurring games, leagues, or events—and currently relies on texts, emails, spreadsheets, or manual coordination—GameDay Pro is likely a great fit.
Is GameDay Pro a replacement for Golf Genius?
Not exactly. Golf Genius is a top-down pro-shop system where administrators create and manage events, and players primarily participate. GameDay Pro is purpose-built for player-run games and leagues where those systems are unavailable, too costly, or simply not available to members.
Do players need to download the app?
Yes. Players use the app to accept invitations, confirm participation, view game details, enter scores, and see live results and standings.
Getting Started
How do players join a Club?
Players join by accepting an invitation from a Club administrator. Invitations can be sent via link or message. Once accepted, players can view Club details in the app.
How do players join a game?
Players can join by responding to the two-tap SMS game notification for a scheduled game, or by navigating to the Club’s Upcoming Games and tapping I’m Playing for the game they want to join.
Can someone use GameDay Pro without creating a Club?
Yes. Invited Club members can download and use the app for free. Organizers need a subscription once they create a Club with five or more members to manage games, members, and league seasons.
Can I belong to multiple Clubs at the same time?
Yes. You can be a participant in multiple clubs, games, and leagues without conflict.
Is there a limit to how many players can join a game?
Group size is determined by the game setup chosen by the organizer. Beyond that, there’s no hard limit—GameDay Pro supports everything from small groups to large events with dozens or even hundreds of players.
Organizers & Clubs
What is a “Club” in GameDay Pro?
A Club is an organizer-managed space where you invite members, create and run games and leagues, control formats and scoring, and track standings and results over time. Clubs are the entities that subscribe to GameDay Pro.
Can multiple organizers manage the same Club?
Yes. Clubs can have multiple admins and managers with different permission levels, allowing shared responsibility for game creation, scheduling, scoring, and communication.
Can I run weekly leagues and season-long competitions?
Absolutely. GameDay Pro is designed for recurring play, including weekly leagues, rotating formats, divisions or flights, and season standings and results.
Can I override teams, scores, or results?
Yes. Organizers always retain control and can make adjustments if corrections are needed.
Is there a way to bulk-invite members to a Club?
Yes. GameDay Pro supports member uploads in Microsoft Excel files formatted with First Name, Last Name, and Mobile Phone Number. Contact support@gamedaypro.io for assistance.
Games & Formats
What game formats does GameDay Pro support?
GameDay Pro supports many common formats, including Best Ball (Net/Gross), Match Play (individual or team), Four-Ball, Scramble, Stableford, Skins, Nassau, Quota/Points games, and custom configurations built from presets. Format support expands over time.
Can I run both match play and stroke play games?
Yes. Many formats can be run as either match play or stroke play depending on how the organizer configures the game.
Can games be team-based or individual?
Both. Games can be individual competitions, fixed teams, rotating teams, or a mix depending on the format.
RSVP, Attendance & Communication
How does RSVP and attendance work?
Players receive an SMS and can quickly confirm they’re playing (or respond anytime in the app). Organizers get real-time visibility to finalize groups, teams, and tee times with confidence.
Can organizers send announcements or updates to players?
Yes. Organizers can send broadcast messages to participants for things like weather delays or tee time changes. Messaging is one-way—players can receive updates but cannot reply.
Is there a confirmation cutoff?
Confirmation is cutoff when organizers begin to configure teams and groups.
What if someone didn’t receive the text?
Verify the phone number, check spam/blocked sender settings, and ensure the user hasn’t opted out. If issues persist, contact support.
How do I stop receiving SMS?
Reply STOP to opt out. Reply START to re-subscribe. For help, reply HELP.
Scoring & Results
How does scoring work?
Players can enter scores directly in the app during or after the round. Results and standings update automatically. Scores can be entered individually or by a designated player for the group.
Can players see live results?
Yes. Live scoring and leaderboards are available, so players always know where things stand.
What happens after the round?
Final results are published automatically, creating a clean, professional end to the game—no spreadsheets, texts, or follow-ups required.
Handicaps
Does GameDay Pro support handicaps?
Yes. GameDay Pro supports handicap-based scoring with GHIN connectivity.
Do players need an official handicap?
Not necessarily. Organizers can choose how handicaps are handled depending on the group and format.
Payments, Ads & Sponsorships
Does GameDay Pro handle payments?
Payment handling is supported for certain use cases, with continued expansion planned.
Can we monetize games with sponsors or ads?
Yes. GameDay Pro is designed to support sponsorships and advertising, giving leagues and clubs new ways to offset costs or generate revenue.
Does GameDay Pro use in-app, advertising?
It can. Ads and sponsorships must comply with our Advertising Policy. We may remove any ad at our discretion.
Pricing & Subscriptions
How much does GameDay Pro cost?
Players and Clubs of four members or less use the app for free. Clubs larger than four members and organizers subscribe to manage games, members, and leagues. Pricing varies based on club size.
Is there a free trial or pilot program?
Yes. GameDay Pro is actively onboarding pilot groups to help shape the product and validate real-world use cases.

Common “What If?”
What if our league doesn’t fit neatly into a preset format?
GameDay Pro is designed to mirror how groups already play. Formats can be configured and expanded as needed.
What if some players don’t like using apps?
Players only need to confirm game participation and enter scores -- there is no complex setup. Players don't even have to enter scores -- a group-mate can do that on their behalf. Organizers can still manage everything centrally.
What if we play different formats every week?
That’s fine. Each "one-time" game can be configured independently while "recurring" games can be modified game to game.
What if we want to keep historical results?
Results remain accessible for organizers and players after each game.
